People often ask me what brought me to this line of work as it is not something many could or would want to do.  To answer this let me share a little about myself.  My background is in mental health.  I have over 25 years of direct experience as a mental health therapist with many of those years working in leadership positions within the field.  I started my career in the field of substance abuse and then moved into community mental health where I had many wonderful opportunities to help and serve others. 

From there I transitioned to university services and had the opportunity to run health and counseling centers at two different institutions.  My hard work and dedication to the students was rewarded with a promotion to Dean of Students, at a prestigious private university, where I was blessed with the opportunity to watch over and support the student body as a whole.  Through all of these various opportunities to serve one thing remained constant:  working with and helping others through times of crisis.  I saw first hand how lost families, friends and others often felt in the middle of a crisis.  In the midst of their devastation, a common question was, “Who do I turn to for help with the immediate aftermath of a death?” or “What do I do now?” 

Having worked with and helped many individuals and families impacted by crisis and trauma throughout my career, and looking to follow my long term goal of starting and running my own business, I started Pacific BioResponse Services.  The idea of it born from the desire to continue the path of service by helping others in what can be the worst moment in their life.  Whether it was the death of a loved one, an accident which left an individual or a loved one seriously injured, hoarding and the impacts of this on the individual and family, or many other biohazard situations which can be overwhelming to deal with.  My goal was to create a company where people could call and get an empathetic, understanding, compassionate, and professional response.  A company who would take care of things the right way so that the family, and loved ones, could focus on the important things.  In short, Pacific BioResponse Services was a natural next step in my career.
